LinkedIn or Interpol Help: Loading, Scores & Repeats

Quick fixes for the most common problems.

The photo is blank or keeps loading

  1. Check your internet connection and reload the page.
  2. Make sure JavaScript and images are allowed. If you use an ad or script blocker, try turning it off for the site.
  3. Update your browser. Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all work.
  4. Still stuck? Send us a bug report with your browser, device and what happened.

If one photo fails, the game moves on to another. After several failures in a row it stops and shows a Reload game button. The game needs an internet connection; it doesn’t work offline.

I keep getting the same source

Two or three LinkedIn photos, or two or three notices, in a row is normal. Each group of ten has five of each, and never more than three of one source in a row. Skipping still moves you through the group, and reloading starts a new one.

Why did I see a face again?

Your browser remembers the last 500 faces you saw and avoids them, even after a reload or a score reset. Another browser or device has its own history, and clearing site data removes it. In private browsing, or if storage is blocked, the history only lasts until you close the tab.

My score disappeared or is different on another device

There are no accounts, so scores are saved only in the browser where you played. Private browsing, clearing site data or switching browser profiles will remove them. Reset clears Score, Total and Streak, but keeps Best and your recently seen faces.

Share score doesn’t work

On most phones, Share score opens the share menu. On computers it copies a short message to your clipboard, which can require a secure (https) connection and permission from your browser. If neither works, type your score and the page address into a message yourself. The shared message never includes photos or names.

The controls are hard to use

You can play with the keyboard: Tab moves between controls, L or I answers, S skips, and Enter, Space or N goes to the next face. Browser zoom works too. Choose None in the Filter menu for the clearest view. If your device is set to reduce motion, the game turns its animations off.

A name, job or notice detail looks wrong

Details come from the saved LinkedIn profile or notice and may be out of date. Please tell us the name shown, what looks wrong and, if you can, add a screenshot. More on where the photos come from.
