1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of linkedinorinterpol.xyz and the LinkedIn or Interpol game. The site is owned and maintained by Jenish Patel (“I”, “me”). By playing the game or using any page of the site, you agree to follow them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. Who can play
Anyone aged 16 or over. Some notices describe serious criminal charges, so the game isn’t meant for younger children.
3. What the game is, and what it isn’t
I use real data from LinkedIn and INTERPOL for education and entertainment purposes only. The game shows how much a single photo leaves out; it is not a tool for judging, identifying or checking up on anyone. In particular:
- An answer tells you where a photo was published. It says nothing about a person’s character or conduct.
- A public INTERPOL notice is not a finding of guilt, and notices can be withdrawn at any time.
- Profile and notice details may be out of date. The game can’t tell you whether someone is wanted today or where they work now.
- Appearing in the game doesn’t mean a person, LinkedIn or INTERPOL endorses it.
4. Fair use, and no scraping
Please play the game the way it’s meant to be played. You may not:
- use the game to harass, shame or make claims about real people;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download, copy or republish the photos, names or details shown in the game;
- send automated requests to the game or try to get around its limits;
- use any of that material to build another game, dataset, AI model or product.
Automated access is rate-limited and may be blocked.
5. The photos and the site
Photos and profile details belong to their respective owners, and notice content comes from INTERPOL and its member countries. Being publicly available doesn’t give anyone permission to redistribute them. The site’s own design, text and code are mine.
6. Removal and corrections
Anyone can ask for an entry to be removed or corrected, and I won’t refuse a reasonable request. How to ask, and what you can request about your own entry, is set out in the privacy policy. For copyright or trademark concerns, use the contact page, choose the copyright topic and include proof that you own the rights or act for the owner.
7. No affiliation
The game isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to LinkedIn Corporation, Microsoft Corporation or the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). “LinkedIn” and “INTERPOL” are trademarks of their owners and are used only to name the two answer choices.
8. No guarantees
The game is a free side project, provided “as is”. I do my best to keep it online and accurate, but I can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss that comes from using the game or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
9. Changes
I may update the game or these terms from time to time. When the terms change, I’ll update the date at the top of the page.
